The Io is easy to build and easy to fly. It's the perfect rocket for people new to high power! The Io comes with either a 29 or 38mm MMT. To be most versatile, grab the 38mm version and fly it with 29mm motors when you purchase the optional PML PRO 38mm motor retainer and the HAMR 38-29mm adapter

The IO is a good intro into High Power Rocketry and a perfect kit for Pre-Cert & Level 1 flights. This rocket stands 33" tall, is 2.1" diameter and has a 3 (Nike style) fin design. This rocket available with either a 29mm or 38mm motor mount. At ~23 oz., the 24" parachute is sized right for the stock kit to make a safe landing under most field conditions. This kit comes standard with our 1010 rail buttons for use with 80/20 brand launch rails.

It is prudent to sim your kit/motor combination using the actual weight of your finished model to determine max velocity, altitude, ejection delay, etc. This will allow you to make an informed decision when selecting a suitable motor for your rocket. Please consult with a NAR or Tripoli certified member to ensure your flights are fun and safe.
