Big Nuke

I got the big Nuke 3E for my L3 rocket. I did end up glassing it although this is not something you have to do. The included RNWS is awesome so I can fly a large range of motors including an M for my L3.

I love mine. Can fly on as little as an H242T on small fields. Great L1 & L2 bird. has been damaged twice but is an easy and economical repair. Occasional dual deploy with the top half of my LOC 1600. Like a giant Red Max, simple, stable crowd favorite.

After building the Lil” Nuke, my son asked for the Big Nuke for his 12th birthday. After seeing just how BIG it really was when it got here, he was a bit intimidated and thought he may have bitten off more than he could chew. I reassured him that all the techniques he’d used for his Lil” Nuke would work with the Big Nuke.
By the end, his confidence was greatly improved. He is comfortable using the belt sander and doing quality fillets without supervision. The precision fit and quality of the parts certainly helped reduce his frustration along the way. He’ll be soon fly it for his TMP cert.
As a parent, I’m very happy to see his excitement at each step and with the skills he developed along the way.

I did my L3 with this on an Aerotech M1350 to mach 1. No glassing or fancy build techniques needed!
