The EZI-65 Rocket Kit is one of the ISP PERFORMANCE SERIES of kits, which feature factory pre-slotted airframe and through-the-wall fin construction and high power motor capabilities, the EZI-65 is a light weight, high power performer. The 54mm motor mount is great for Level 1 motors. Designed for the Aerotech I-65 motor when it first came out, this kit will also fly on the Aerotech J-90 motor for a cool Level 2 attempt - try one out if your field can handle it. It is a very cool flight! (and sometimes a long walk) This kit flies great on a variety of G , H and I motors using the optional MMA-3 (for 29mm motors) or MMA-4 (for 38mm motors) motor mount adapter. Parachute Recovery.

Excellent Video with On-Board of an L-265.

Great L1 and L2 Certification combo kit

This rocket was made to fly, and fly high. Just add more weight for larger motors and a 54/38 Aeropak adapter and motor retainer as needed. Super-well built kit, and can easily handle the following Aerotech motors: H-219, I-175, J-270, and K-400. I have also heard that a friend of mine did an L flight in an EZI-65 many moons ago, so I think this could be done with some planning. My painted version was coated with metal flake and an automotive type clear coat. Not really intended as a tube reinforcement substitute for fiberglass, but it essentially amounted to something like the same I think. The clear coat was more like an adhesive after application. you'd probably be fine stock for J and K flights. I believe LOC doesnt recommend glassing for lower than Ls. But I believe LOC does recommend glassing for L flights. In their paraphrased words: "can it be done stock? yes. But you probably have a better chance for success if you do glass it for L flights."

Great Certification Rocket

Great rocket that honestly is hard to beat for the price. I was able to do both my L1 and L2 Tripoli certification flights without any modifications to the rocket (I didn't add any nose weight or use any electronics). For reference, the L1 was with an H283 and the L2 was with a J250. I highly recommend this kit for a first foray into high power rocketry!

Great kit. Poor directions

The kit is sturdy and well made. However, the directions are poor to say the least. Apparently, LOC assumes that you are an expert high power builder and you don't really need instructions.

Hello Larry, thank you for your purchase. Also your honesty about the instructions. We're working on revamping all of them to be digital. Also videos are in process. If you have any questions you can certainly contact us. But we promise, we're working on being more thorough for the future! Thanks again!
