Cool Spool

Great rocket to fly at a small field. Flown it twice on G78-4s.

I agree with everything Steve said. Good suggestion to use an Aerotech engine retainer. Flew it on an F67, and it did great. My son asked me, "Dad, how do the aerodynamics of a spool rocket work?" My answer, "Apparently, pretty well, son!"

Great novelty kit! It flies low, so is good for smaller area launches. Especially if you want a louder, slower liftoff. I added an Aero retainer, works fine. You'll want a short delay with this one and more thrust than an F15 :)

This build was fun! Different then what I was use to. Watched a U-tube Video on it someone else had built. I have seen some spools fly but this one was a great price and like that it doesn't go to far. Looking forward to flying it.

This is always a crowd favorite at launches. I like to fly it on F and G motors with a lot of thrust, like a G76 with a 2-4 second delay.
