DESCRIPTION
The Photon is a light weight, durable and easy to assemble kit! Easily lofted on C-E 24mm motors, this kit features a kevlar shock cord, nylon parachute, and logo decal, both 1/4" launch lug AND 10 series rail guides to suit your launch pad style. A low-cost, fun to fly rocket kit with the quality you'd expect from LOC/Precision!
This is one of only two 24mm engine mount kits currently offered from LOC/Precision, the Blaster being the other. The construction is straight forward and very strong. My only advice is to be careful when you insert the completed engine mount so that the shock cord mount screw eye doesn't interfere with upper fin installation (I found this out the hard way - instructions don't mention this). For two modifications, I replaced the upper Kevlar shock cord with an elastic one (personal preference), and installed an engine block to use black powder engines (cheaper). I love the vinyl pressure sensitive decal - it goes on easily and looks awesome. A 15" nylon parachute and parachute protector are included, which is nice. Overall, a great kit to try low to mid-power C, D, or E engines with.

Great kit. Sturdy and fun for me to build. Good motor options
This was the first Loc kit I've built. It was easy to build. Flew it four times and it flew smooth one I found the perfect motor to fly it with which was a Q-jet E26-7w it also flew well on D22-7. Love Loc kits and definitely will buy more.
Easy to build, awesome looking kit. I was excited when I saw the new size kit from LOC. I followed the paint scheme shown on the package, except I used purple instead of yellow. The decal pops much better. The decal shown on the red rocket in the photos on the page is the size I got. I at first thought the decal was water slide, but realized it was self-adhesive. Easiest decal I’ve ever applied, with the release tape carrying the decal. Only build issue I had was that the holes in the centering rings needed to be significantly sanded to fit the motor tube. Rocket flew well on a C6-5 with the Estes 24-18mm adapter, with minor over-correction in the wind. I would appreciate instructions for rail guides in a kit labeled beginner, never having used them before. However, I went with the launch lug. Looking forward to further 1.9″ kits from LOC. This one sets the bar high!
