High quality beginner kit

This is the first LOC 1 series kit I've built, and it is a high quality beginner kit. There were no printed instructions. There was just a piece of paper with a QR code on it. When we scanned the QR code, the link was broken - Code 404 file not found. We went to the LOC/Precision website and printed out the instructions from the Xeno product listing. The kit itself was otherwise complete with a pre-slotted body tube and through-the-wall birch wood fins. The recovery system is a 4' Kevlar shock cord connecting the engine mount to the plastic nose cone and included an orange nylon streamer and small fire blanket, so no need for recovery wadding, which is nice. The decals are the sticker type which must be cut out. Clear coat is recommended to keep the decals from peeling. The rocket flies well with almost any engine up to a D composite, but be careful. You need to have a huge open field for an engine that powerful.

Excellent first kit, or just an easy relaxing build

This was my sons first rocket, received from Santa. He had no issues building it as i coached him and let him do all the work. Excellent quality kit. Very impressive slotted body, and through fins. This should last a long time
