LIL' Nuke

I'll give this a 5 star, I used this as a starting point and have built this kit into a 1/2 Scale of the Big Nuke 3E complete with electronics bay for Dual Deploy.

I swapped out the 29mm mmt that came with the kit for a 38mm MMT and 38mm 2.26" airframe centering set from Loc. Trimmed down the root of the fins to fit the new mmt on a bandsaw, Used Slow Cure epoxy for internal and external fillets on the fin can.

Added an additional 14" of 2.26" air frame from Loc and purchased the 2.14" electronics bay to go with it. New rocket is about 42" long, with paint, epoxy, electronics, drouge and main chute and everything comes in around 1100 grams without motor.

Was a good starting point and was fun building the main part of the kit before I turned it into a bit of a frankenstein project. I might buy another one just to build as intended haha.

I flew out on a G80 and now it is pretty much destroyed same with the loc cool spool first flight

This was my first 29mm motor kit, and a great choice for a mid-power rocket. Simple construction and very hefty components. I agree with the suggestion to add a screw type motor retainer, sold separately. Maiden flight on a black powder F15 motor, then on a composite G40. Both flights were spectacular.

I built one and flew it on an H motor. Never saw it again lol. So I ordered another on and have it flow it once on something much smaller... What a great build and fun to fly. A lot of people like the way it looks. Thanks LOC

I am a kid so I don't really know a lot about rocketry, but it is good rocket. It has withstand five launches 2 with G77 engines(one of which was defective and blow up) and one landed in a pond.
